Hi there!

In today’s post, I want to share a secret that only super-affiliates know.

It is this secret that makes them super-affiliates in the first place. When everyone promotes the same offer, super-affiliates are the ones who secure the sale. No cheating involved.

Why is this? Because they understand the formula that consistently generates sales. You are about to discover this secret as well.

Are you going to use it?

I hope so.

The Key to Being the One Whose Offer Is Chosen

There can only be one winner when everyone tries to get the same customers.

Three words can sum up the secret to being that person.

There is no reward for being indolent (lazy).

You can be lazy and laid-back at times. The solution is to avoid working excessively for more than 12 hours a day.

But there are times when being lazy will cost you the sale.

Let me explain this idea further…

No Bonus Points for Being Lazy

Many affiliates tend to send out a brief email, write a blog post, or create a short video that includes their affiliate link.

You can think of this like fishing: you throw out the line with a hook on it and hope the fish will bite.

Speaking from experience, since my dad is a fisherman as well, fish aren’t that dumb.

People are smarter than fish (well, most of them), and they won’t bite either.

Ultimately, you need a hook!

Don’t settle for any old hook and bait either. It has to be something that your audience will want to grab.

Some affiliates will find some cheap PLR and think it’s a bonus.

This won’t work. Cheap PLR looks and feels like fake PLR. A cover that appears to date back to the early days of the Internet won’t deceive your audience.

Now, you may make some sales, especially if you already have a built-in loyal audience that KLTs you (knows, likes, and trusts you). But you won’t make as many sales or earn as much money as you could.

By giving a bonus that you worked hard to make, you can make your offer stand out.

This Guy Gets $45,000 a Month Plus His Bonus

This is a real-life example of a man who makes $45,000 a year because he has such a good and big bonus.

Ted Carr is in charge of a Skool group, which you may or may not have heard of.

Right now, Skool is a community platform that costs $99 a month. It also has an affiliate program.

Ted Carr said that if people sign up for Skool through his link, he will set it up for them.

No one else offered that special bonus when he first started. That was his special bonus.

That sort of bonus is highly valuable and thoughtfully designed. It makes the buyer feel safe. They don’t have to worry about setting up their community.

They can buy it and relax by clicking the link.

Ted Carr receives $45,000 for his work, with all other expenses taken care of for him.

Take a moment to think about this…

Another example. When blogging was new, John Chow, a super-affiliate and blogger, made a lot of money by sending people to web hosts. He promised to set up a blog for them if they bought through his link. He made a lot of money and helped his followers by finding the best bonus for them.

Speaking of web hosts, if you’re looking for one, I’d recommend Hostinger. It’s actually the web host I’m using to host this website and my other personal website (ericdimitriadis.com). It’s a great web host in my experience, and it’s very clean and user-friendly and not clunky (unlike a lot of other web hosts out there). It’s also a suitable beginning web host.

And in the interest of being transparent, if you join Hostinger, I will earn a commission. I always want to be upfront with that.

Now, back to the main topic…

What Kind of Effort Should You Use?

First, you need to take a close look at the product you want to promote.

Be critical here. Are there flaws in it? Can you think of ways to improve the product?

Only brainstorm at this point.

Write down everything that could make this product even better. Do not consider whether it would be possible for you to create the bonus or not. Just write everything down.

Let’s Take an Example

Let us assume that you are looking at a course that teaches writers how to finish a romance novel in two weeks.

The course is excellent. The course appears to be flawless, leaving no room for improvement. What then?

Think ahead.

What will the writer need after she has written the novel?

She would need proofreading, a cover, keywords for the publishing, a good description, traffic to her book, reviews, etc.

There are so many ways already for you to improve the original offer.

Which of them should you pick? Choose the approach you can develop and create!

If you can guide the writers in creating a cover, please consider including that in your bonus. If you can teach them how to write descriptions, please do so. If you can program an application that helps authors find the right keywords, then do that and include it as part of your bonus.

Once you have chosen your bonus, it is time to create and not be lazy.

You must put in all the necessary effort to make this bonus so valuable that you could sell it.

But do not sell it.

Please ensure it is exclusively available as a unique bonus for those who purchase the main product through your link.

Some writers will already know how to write a romance. But they will be so eager to get your bonus that they will buy the affiliate product.

Others may be undecided, but your bonus persuades them to make the purchase.

Others will choose your offer over a competitor’s because of the bonus.

More Real-World Examples of Powerful Bonuses

Your bonuses can be relevant both for physical and digital products.

If you are promoting a physical book, you could create a unique bookmark from a print-on-demand service and send that to buyers.

What if you were promoting a woodworking guide? You could provide bonus plans that include instructions for a project not included in the original guide.

If you promote a weight loss program, you can offer a meal plan or a shopping list, or even a recipe book as a bonus companion.

In general, if you can match the perceived value of your bonus to the product you promote or make it even higher, you are much more likely to score a sale.

Now It Is Your Secret

Knowing this secret, you can become a super-affiliate.

This super-bonus is your strongest weapon. This is how you make your affiliate offer the one your subscribers will pick over everybody else’s weaker offers.

Many affiliates are lazy.

You have a powerful advantage by not being lazy here. Use it!
